The Path!

It’s all about Jesus. The story of Jesus actually began long before He was born as is evident from some of the scriptures found in the Old Testament of the Bible; particularly in Isaiah Chapter 53. In the Notes below, I will include the chapter in its entirety. I will also include a link to a to the article by Josh Weidmann which describes in much more detail what Isaiah, together with many other scriptures in the Bible, had to say about the coming of Jesus and his ministry
But before we get there, let’s get back to the problem of sin and how God, together with Jesus, provided an answer for this problem. In so doing, we will discover how they, working together, removed the obstacle that separates us from finding God and having a relationship with Him; a relationship in which we discover, through personal experience, a God who loves us, who is interested enough in our well being, interested enough in our happiness, and interested enough in having a relationship with us, to interact with us and help us as we walk through our lives.
Here is the Problem separating us from God; as the Bible describes it!
Ecclesiastes 7:20 (KJV) “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good and sinneth not.”
Romans 3:23 (KJV) “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Isaiah 1:15 (KJV) “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”
Here is the Answer to the problem that God and Jesus, working together, provided; as the Bible describes it!
John 3:16 (KJV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” and Romans 6:23 (KJV) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness, by whose stripes ye were healed.” (speaking of Jesus and healing from the affliction of sin)
John 1:12 (KJV) “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”
Revelation 3:20 (KJV): “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
If, at this point you have a desire to open the door to Jesus, I can assure you that Jesus is in fact standing at your door and knocking and that you are hearing his voice. So how do you open the door? It’s simple, you know, from reading of the various experiences described in this website that God (and Jesus) knows our heart and hears our thoughts and prayers; even if silent ones inside our minds. To open the door, all you have to do is invite Him in; a simple, silent prayer like the one below is all it takes. After you invite him in, then apply the scripture (Proverbs 3: 5-6) which says: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.“
“Jesus, won’t you come into my life, forgive my sins, and be with me in my life“
One of the things you should do is ask Him to help you find a church to go to that will help you learn more…..and trust Him that He will direct your path as the scripture says above.
Notes
Here is the link to the article by Josh Weidmann which describes in much more detail what Isaiah, together with many other scriptures in the Bible, had to say about the coming of Jesus and his ministry.
Isaiah, Chapter 53 (speaking of Jesus)
- Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
- For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
- He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
- Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did not esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
- But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
- All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
- He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
- He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation: for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
- And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
- Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
- He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
- Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sine of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
