We are, one day, born into the Corridor of Life. Bounded on both sides by walls we can bend and stretch and reshape but not remove; the Corridor of Life stretches out before us, its length unknown. But walk through it we must and we push on.
Each step we take as we walk down the Corridor of Life is a step into the unknown; each step holding the potential to be our last. As we walk down the Corridor of Life we discover that the path before us is, at times, wonderful: but that it also can be, at times, uneven and rough. And from time to time the pathway through the corridor of Life becomes so rough we find ourselves careening from wall to wall and struggling to find our way; to take the next step. But we push on.
Sooner or later though, as we walk down the Corridor of Life, we make another discovery. We find that the corridor of Life is not only rough and uneven but, at times, can be even dangerous. We discover that buried along the Corridor of Life are landmines; landmines that hold the potential to destroy our life; our happiness, our spirit, our body, and our joy. But we push on.
However unknown to us when we began our walk down the Corridor of Life, and perhaps never discovered, is that there is one who shapes the corridor ahead of us. One who is aware of the rough and uneven patches in the Corridor of Life ahead of us and who knows where the landmines lie buried. Blessed are those who discover and come to know this person; they will discover that he is able to, and will, lead them around and through the rough and uneven patches in the corridor of Life and bypass many, if not all, of the landmines. I discovered this person 58 years ago and can tell you, with no doubt, that he is real.
Having seen many of the rough and uneven patches that we face in the Corridor of Life and observed the landmines that may be found in it, I hope that you will also discover the one who shapes te corridor ahead of us, come to know him, and have his help as you travel down your Corridor of Life. You might, if you desire, check out the following links to see some of these rough and uneven patches I went through with his help….and yes, even avoided some of the landmines he forewarned me of: “Prayer, faith, and my sister’s cat!“, “Hurricane Betsy!“, “God’s providence: the warning!“, “God, faith, testimony: and the healing of Jolee!“, “The Holy Spirit speaks: we are not going to get the rain this year!“, “God intervenes: the doctors said Caleb would not live through the night!“, “God intervenes: the doctors said Nathaniel would not live through the night!“, and “God, seeing my Dad’s grief said: “Three more years!”“
I have a purpose behind publicizing these events. The purpose behind this website and this Post is to make people aware of the reality of God and, for the ones who wish to find him, to show how to do that. Two scriptures are appropriate to this purpose: Psalm 107:2 and Romans 10:14 saying, respectively: “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy…..” and “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”
