37 - God's Answers!
I am so glad that I asked that question, “God, what is the answer?” that night (as described in the story, “1 – God, what is the answer?”). The answer to that question initiated a series of experiences through which I became aware of the reality of God. In the process, I discovered a relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
This relationship has proven to be a base, a foundation, providing strength during a time of trial, help during a time of need, and confidence in the unknown future that we all face as we go about our lives. This relationship has also provided a perspective on the world and the universe that answers many of the fundamental
questions that we all deal with when we open our eyes and look beyond ourselves.
But taking a step back, you will recall that God revealed to me through a dream a church to attend as described in the story “4 – I prayed: God answers with a dream!”. You will also recall that I thought to obtain answers to a lot of my questions from the Pastor of that church but God intervened saying “….for God will answer all your questions” as described in the story “6 – My Questions: God’s answer!” Well, time flies and one might wonder if God actually did answer those questions and, if so, how? The answer to that is YES.
Below is a list of the questions together with the answers and linked to the respective story(s) from which the questions and answers were found.
Questions and Answers
1. Is God a reality?
The answer to this question is unquestionably yes. The totality of the experiences described within this website validate the reality of God.
2. How does one find God?
Finding God is really about building a relationship. Relationships do take time. Building a relationship with God is no different than building a relationship with a friend. As you build a relationship with a friend, or God in this case, you “find” out more about Him.
But to find God one must seek Him. To seek God is an action on your part that opens the door for Him to intervene in your life. A simple prayer asking for help is often the doorway that begins a relationship with God.
Consider the links below.
3. Is Jesus a reality?
The answer to this question is also unquestionably yes. But understanding the reality of Jesus is to understand what He did for us; that it is through Jesus that we have access to God; that it is through Jesus that we can enter into God’s presence with confidence and faith knowing that God will not turn His face away from us but rather will hear us.
All roads to God lead through Jesus for the reasons expressed in the link below. It is for this reason that God said of Jesus: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” It is for this reason that Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
4. Does God love us?
Absolutely! Yes! Once one becomes aware of the reality of God, the reality of who Jesus was, and the reality of what they, together, did for us; the truth of the scripture that says: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” comes to life. It is a reflection of the fact that God loves us.
As one builds a relationship with God over time and experiences as I did, it is those instances in which God intervenes in order to help that one will come to realize even more fully that God does, in fact, love us; each of us. Moreover, as one comes to this realization and recognizes that this relationship would not be possible without Jesus, one recognizes the truth of the scripture above: “That God so loved the world…..”.
Speaking of love, and of Jesus, the scripture says this of Jesus: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” This is speaking of the sacrifice that Jesus made in being willing to die for us and reflects the fact that both, God and Jesus, share that love for us.
To me, all of the experiences reflected within this website reveal the love that God (and Jesus) have for us. But perhaps the most telling is God’s recognition and willingness to intervene in my Dad’s life at that point when his grief was overwhelming him. It reflects that God is aware of our grief, feels our grief, and is willing to respond to it. Check out the link below.
5. Is the Spirit of God (the Holy Spirit) a reality?
Yes, the Holy Spirit is a reality. In fact, it is the Holy Spirit, acting in behalf of God, who in the experiences described in this website provided the dreams, the visions, the healings and who motivated and moved people in accordance with God’s will; who provided direction; who provided comfort in the times of duress, and who orchestrated the behind the scenes events that have been described within this website.
It is written of the Holy Spirit the following: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

- God intervenes: the doctors said Caleb would not live through the night!
6. Is the Holy Spirit present in every Christian?
The scripture answers this question very directly saying: “But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive…..” From this scripture, one understands that all who accept and believe in Jesus receive the Holy Spirit.
I would note that in all the events described within this website, I did not realize at the time that it was the Holy Spirit in, through, and around me that was working. Rather, I simply attributed them to God. That understanding came later.

27. Forgiveness
Many Christians think of God’s forgiveness only in terms of what happens after death; that is, after accepting Jesus their sins are forgiven by God and they will not be judged for their sins. They have not realized that something else has happened because of Jesus; they have not realized that because their sins are forgiven NOW, the entryway is opened and they can enter into God’s presence with confidence that He will hear their prayers and petitions and not turn away from them.

28. Why do bad things happen to good people?
Bad things do happen to good people. It’s been happening since time began. Some of us just accept this reality and move on; dealing with a tragedy as best they can. On the other hand some of us will find ourselves dealing with the question of why, if there is a God, He permits such tragedies to occur; especially if it happened to good people.
A starting point to this question is to be found in the experience described in “Everything is in good hands!” This experience reflects that God is in control of the events and circumstances that occur around us and in our lives but, more importantly, that this is true even when those events and circumstances seem to be really bad. A follow-up point to this statement is to be found in the BLOG entry on this website entitled “The Corridor of Life“; which reflects that if you have a relationship with God that He not only can, but will, intervene in our behalf to help us through a bad situation. Moreover, it reflects that God will, at times, even help us avoid the bad situation altogether. I would encourage you to read this BLOG entry.
But more importantly, the answer to this question is always to recognize that there is an “end game” in play. An “end game” in which God has, for reasons unknown to us at the time, delivered or brought the tragedy into our lap; reasons that may, or may not, become known to us at a later date. Consider the event described in “God, what is the answer?” and consider its outcome described in “The Spirit of God!” Consider the event described in “Hurricane Betsy!” and its outcome. And finally; consider the event described in “Those who become aware of God’s reality know that death is not the end!“
To cap it all off, consider the tragedy that my Dad faced in having his wife die and leave him alone as described in the story “God, seeing my Dad’s grief said: “Three more years!” As you will note from the story, the “end game” was the need for him to remain three more years in order to help his three children.
Trusting in God, knowing He has an “end game” in mind, is the answer so many people are looking for. To do that, one first has to become aware of the reality of God. To become aware of the reality of God, God has to reveal Himself to you. For God to reveal himself to you, one has to seek Him.
